Delafé y Las Flores Azules is one of the most iconic acts in 21st-century Spanish indie pop. Their style blends spoken word, soul, electronic music, and hip hop, with uplifting lyrics that have resonated across generations. Constantly evolving, their energy remains alive as a symbol of emotional expression and storytelling.

Formed in the Maresme region, Mourn is a band that channels the raw nerve of punk and post-hardcore with a direct and unfiltered generational sensitivity. Influenced by power pop, their sound has crossed borders and festival stages, offering a sonic honesty that disarms and connects.

Carlota Flâneur is the musical project of singer and multi-instrumentalist Carlota Serrahima. Her sonic universe blends delicate pop, electronic textures, surprising covers, and an introspective imagery where melancholy and light coexist. With an intimate and experimental approach, Flâneur delivers emotionally rich layers.

A graphic designer and visual researcher, Bea Nieto (@lacingara) explores the intersection of typography, identity, and language with a sensitivity that merges the intuitive with the conceptual. She has collaborated with music-related publications and events, creating visual worlds that engage with sound through editorial, performative, and emotional lenses.

CHAPTER 1: EL UMBRAL
A meeting at Segundo Espacio. An open-to-the-public starting point where the bands introduce themselves and a dialogue is sparked between sound, memory, and form. Conversations, cross-references, personal connections to the adidas Superstar, and early creative instincts mark the beginning of the process. A shared space where everything begins.
CHAPTER 1: EL UMBRAL.

The Sound of the Original begins with the first chapter of this shared exploration — an open-to-the-public starting point where you’ll get to meet the bands, discover their influences, and dive into the process of transforming a legacy into original music. The project was sparked by the visual concept created by Bea Nieto, which served as its initial inspiration.

Hosted by Johann Wald, the conversation brings together the three musical protagonists, with the participation of Bea Nieto, who crafted the project’s visual identity. Each artist shares their inspirations, memories, and creative approaches: unconscious creativity, music as an expressive need deeply tied to solitude, creative alter egos, and unexpected sources of inspiration.

Two workshops that offer new perspectives on understanding the musical process. Led by Sofía Archer Lab we’ll explore how wardrobe can become a conceptual, emotional, and aesthetic tool in service of the stage. With Pawla Casanovas, director and artist, we’ll work with aesthetic, emotional, and strategic tools used in the creation of music videos that connect with audiences and amplify the artist’s message.

CHAPTER 2: THE CREATIVE TESTIMONY
An immersion into each artist’s creative process. We follow the journey from early sketches to the aesthetic and sonic decisions that reimagine the Superstar through their own narrative. An introduction to creation, presented by the artists themselves, showing the evolution of the process.

Carlota Flâneur documents her creative process inspired by the figure of the flâneur: an attentive observer and silent actor of the urban landscape. With the adidas Superstar as a common thread, she transforms aimless walks into music that captures the pulse of the city. Thus, she inaugurates a series that understands creation as a constant dialogue between the street, the gaze, and sound.

An invitation to go off-script: to compose a track linked to the adidas Superstar, outside the orbit of an album. Delafé y Las Flores Azules embrace the challenge and embark on a proposal in which Carlota Flâneur and Mourn also participate to build a collective piece that explores unreleased sounds. The process, open and risky, reflects the rebellious essence of the shoe itself.

MOURN emerged as a teenage band that, faced with early success, developed their own creative language. In The Sound of The Original, they revisit the ’90s and the evolution of the adidas Superstar, blending their raw underground spirit with a tribute to the women who turned the silhouette into a symbol—despite not receiving the recognition they deserved. A project that stays true to their independence and personal vision.
